The genesis of this inaugural album in the series was sparked by the captivating world of shortwave radio transmissions, broadcasts, and signals encountered during the summer of 2020. Intrigued and captivated, I delved deeper into the realm of shortwave, FM/AM radio transmissions, exploring recordings dating back to the late 60s, both my own and those curated by fellow enthusiasts. Immersed in hours of listening, I found immense enjoyment, prompting the need to channel that fascination into a creative endeavor.

Subsequently, I began the intricate process of processing this delightful cacophony, meticulously slicing and organizing the recordings into an extensive archive of intriguing sonic textures—a fertile ground for future sonic explorations.

These tracks, in addition to serving as a sonic journey, evoke nostalgic memories of carefree childhood days spent marveling at old radio receivers. The act of tuning in, dialing, and reaching broadcasts from around the globe resurrects a sense of wonder about the possibilities inherent in such far-reaching connections—even pondering distant worlds.

In dedication, this album pays homage to our shared home: Planet Earth.
